Mr. Barbeau is a 1981 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and a licensed architect in Minnesota and Wisconsin. With over three decades in practice, his extensive experience encompasses the design and construction of a full range of commercial and residential architecture and interiors. His significant expertise in construction specifications, engineering coordination and review, production scheduling, and bidding and construction contract administration spans projects of up to $20 million in construction cost.
As a motivator and manager of diverse project teams, Mr. Barbeau is skilled in achieving targeted outcomes while meeting balanced, predictable budgetary expectations. He is an efficient and talented designer with a proven track record of bringing projects in on-time and on-budget.
Tom holds significant expertise in design-build, build-to-suit and turnkey tenant design & build-outs, including mixed-use, multi-family housing, retail shops, offices, industrial and manufacturing facilities, restaurants, automotive and parking structures, daycare and educational occupancies.
As an experienced site planner and presenter for both urban and suburban sites, he is skilled in negotiating complex site planning conditions and constraints with private entities and governmental jurisdictions and gaining the necessary approvals.
He has extensive contacts in all major areas of design and construction, including engineering professionals, building officials, construction professionals, specialty sub–contractors, vendors and manufacturers.
